Re: Wednesday night CX underground
Feels like I took a yoga class... I liked that choke points were later in the course than in the past - there was still bunching, but for me it was 5 people max so you weren't waiting long. Loved the rocks section. Maybe if I were faster, the bumps would smooth out. Six reasons why cyclocross is goo...

Re: B.C. Champs on the Sunday ride
I love the smell of a pace line in the morning... Only one BC Champ in the ride today - we dropped the other two ;) Seriously though, nice to see Mick out on a Sunday again. We had one new rider (that I knew of anyway), Tyler, who held his own just fine. Wish I could've made coffee, but I ended up e...

COTR 2014: Bear Cross
Another warm, sunny day for cross. Lots of twists and turns - no mud but even in the beginner race loose spots developed quickly. I was maybe 10 ft behind "Sherpa" Joe when he went down early into the first lap. He managed to tumble out, and that was the last I saw of him until he finished. I went d...

Re: Wednesday night CX underground
Mud! Couple of sections were soup by the end of the B's. I saw lots go down, I did once. No barriers, but there was one brief climb that gave some grief. The B start was held up by someone who managed to fall off the bike at the line. I couldn't tell if some guy was helping them get up, but he turne...

That was a lot of fun! The switchback to make it between those two trees early-on was very tight. I was happy with my cornering, especially on the off camber sections. It was rideable, though I wouldn't have wanted to try it on a single speed - not the steep sections anyway.

Re: COTR Cumberland
It was good. Results page The course was very similar to the setup 2 years ago, but dry. The BMX and pump track as always were a lot of fun, but I was a tad conservative (got passed) in the BMX portion. It was entirely ride-able, but I had to hop off on the longest/steepest dirt hill because I alway...
