EXTENDED SUNDAY RIDE

Post by Joe Gard » Fri Apr 26, 2013 2:46 pm

This Sunday we will start extending the ride. For those who are training for Fondo or Ryder's ride this will help. It is not going to be a hammerfest. Pace will remain somewhat the same but we will be adding lots of climbing. For those who know the route, we will turn right on Willis Point and do Ross Durance, Munns and W. Burnside over to the Goose and home. If you are starting at OBB and do the round trip it will be about 106 - 110 kms or so. If you head home instead of going to OBB it would obviously be shorter or longer depending where you live. For those that choose not to extend it, you can keep going the regular way. Someone will be there that knows the way if any new riders show up.
Any non-members of Victori Wheelers that come out fairly regularly, please join the Wheelers and pay your $20. It's the fair thing to do. I am a member of 2 clubs and have been a member of 3 in the past. If you ride with a particular group you should join. It doesn't mean you have to be exclusive to any club but if you do join the Wheelers you will get 15% discount at OBB. In the future there will also be supported rides and if you're a member you don't have to pay. We will have support vehicle and bars, gels, tires etc. on these rides.
