Music to do work by

Let me start by stating I want this to be a judgement free thread. Everyone's musical tastes are their own, except for Trevor MacKenzie whose workouts are powered by his wife's IPod. His musical tastes are his wife's, that's what I'm trying to say.

Intervals are never any fun until they are over, but they can be made bearable-ish with a good soundtrack. Maybe even the same song over and over, which is my go to by the way. Each interval session, for me at least, has a specific purpose and function and it's important that I choose a song that supports the function. For example, I want something steady and not too manic if my intervals are longer and more about maintaining a consistent cadence and power output. For a shorter max effort, I want something spicy. So to start the ball rolling, I'll share some of my go to tunes. I'm a bit sick of some of them so I'm interested in hearing what others use...

Longish, FTP type stuff - Gimmie Shelter by the Stones. D'you Know What I Mean by Oasis or Hold on, Hold on by Neko Case
Observatory or Mt Doug Repeats - My latest jam for these guys is Royksopp f. Robyn - Monument. Travis - Re-offender (I have no idea why)
Short, punch, 1,2,3 minutes - Alexisonfire - Control, Von Bondies - C'mon C'mon, F*cked Up - I was there.

I'll test out just how non-judgemental everybody is.

Climbing type intervals:
Tove Lo - Habits (Stay High) - Hippie Sabotage Remix
Fred V & Grafix - Forest Fires (Ft. Etherwood)

Short intense efforts:
Anything by the Brookes Brothers

Haven't heard of Sparta before, good recommendation. I'll throw some on my phone and try it out :)

Big fan of a good song on repeat for hard intervals. Right now its TVOTR-Happy Idiot. Also a fan of Bloc Party and Refused-New Noise when i need a slap.
