outsmarted by a couple teenagers...

Myself, Dave T., Deborah S., Layne N., Andy P., Alec W., Marcel R., Kyle D., and William C. were your Wheeler representatives in the Windsor Park B grade crit this weekend. With so much fire-power how could we not win?

Marcel and William did a great job off the front at the beginning of the race forcing the other teams to chase, with Layne providing me with a draft like no other... About mid race Dave was up the road in a break that was looking promising, so I bridged across bringing Jag D. with me. Our group of 6 worked well together and we were getting close to lapping the field by the bell, at which point Malcolm W. executed a textbook poor man's leadout:
This is your standard lose-lose scenario: let him go, he wins. if you chase, you lead-out his team-mate, who wins. What I tried was a hybrid of the two losing strategies: Chase half-assed, so as to not catch Malcolm, but keep him within reach... also a losing strategy.

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy!
